Today, Wednesday June 25th, a man accused of selling drugs to third parties while driving his children to school appeared in court in Alicante.
According to the Valencian High Court of Justice (TSJCV), the defendants include this man and another individual, both facing sentences of eight and a half years in prison and seven and a half years in prison, respectively, for drug trafficking, with one of them having the aggravating factor of repeat offences.
The prosecution claims that one of the defendants, who was under police observation and monitoring by the National Police Unit’s narcotics unit at the Alicante North Precinct, utilised the school run when he brought his children to school to sell drugs to third parties at retail.
On October 8th, 2024, the defendant went to the Mil Viviendas neighbourhood of Alicante, where he met the other defendant, and they drove together in a vehicle that was trailed and intercepted by agents. Inside, they discovered a package containing around a kilo and a half of cocaine, which the public prosecutor’s office stated they intended to sell to third parties.
The trial for these events will commence at 10:00 a.m. in the Second Section of the Alicante Provincial Court.
