The Valencian Council has approved the signing of a collaboration agreement between Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and the Spanish National Radio and Television Corporation (RTVE). This partnership will enhance tourism advertising and communication activities for the Valencian Community on RTVE by organising and celebrating the “Benidorm Fest,” which will take place from January 28th to February 1st, 2025.
Through this collaboration agreement, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana (Valencian Community Tourism) will provide a maximum of 1,500,000 euros for the promotion of tourism advertising and communication activities in the Community, the same amount as in 2023 and 2024.
RTVE has carried out a variety of operations under this arrangement, including the organisation and production of the Benidorm Fest, as well as the audiovisual recording and live television broadcast of the galas on January 28th and 30th, and the grand finale on February 1st. To maximise the festival’s reach and effect, RTVE also aired these events on its interactive digital medium.
The Valencian Community Tourism Board and RTVE believe that seeking synergies between the Benidorm Fest and the Eurovision Song Contest can benefit both institutions by increasing the visibility of the Benidorm Fest and promoting tourism in the Valencian Community on a national and international scale.
