Two young males, one of whom was a kid, were hurt by a handgun during a shooting early yesterday morning, Wednesday July 1st, in Pilar de la Horadada. The alleged shooters have escaped.
The shooting took place at the Jesuitas beach area of Torre de la Horadada, a renowned summer resort in Pilar del Río. The gunfire allegedly came from a moving car that fled the scene. These same sources report the firing of up to six rounds.
Following the shooting, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Torrevieja University Hospital is treating a young child with gunshot wounds.
Sources say that another 18-year-old man is currently hospitalised for the same incident. Both are still in the hospital, with an uncertain outlook. The victims are normal Murcia residents.
The Guardia Civil’s Judicial Police are conducting an investigation at the Torre de la Horadada station in Pilar de la Horadada.
