Beginning today, Wednesday 16th July, the ORA service in the municipality of Elche will be free in the afternoon. Monday through Friday, the blue zone only requires payment from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., while Saturdays are free all day.
Service hours will be extended until July 31st, and they will also be free in the mornings and afternoons of August, as in past years.
This timetable modification is in addition to free entry throughout August, both in the mornings and afternoons.
Claudio Guilabert, City Councillor for Mobility, stated that with this step, “we are fulfilling the requests of residents and merchants for another year.” He emphasised that the initiative is a great effort that promotes local consumption and saves money for citizens.
This project is being carried out in partnership with the municipal corporation Pimesa and will not result in cost increases, but revenue will be cut by approximately 47% compared to prior years.
