Police officer who forcibly detained his wife in Almería arrested

The National Police released a woman on Saturday, July 18th, who had been kept against her will for hours by her husband, a police officer. The event occurred at a residence in Almería.

The event occurred Saturday in the Nueva Almería neighbourhood. A phone call revealed that the woman had locked herself in an office because she was terrified by the detainee’s behaviour.

The police followed the standard protocol in similar instances, but after about four hours of searching the house, the alleged victim emerged unharmed, while the male surrendered without struggle and is being jailed for gender-based assault.
