Child investigated for spreading fake photos of naked girls from his school created with AI

An underage boy has been the subject of an investigation by the Guardia Civil for sharing images that he had altered using Artificial Intelligence to make his classmates appear completely naked.

A total of 16 juveniles have reported the use of their AI-manipulated images on both social media and a website as part of this investigation. The minor is a classmate from secondary school in the Ribera Alta region of Valencia.

The Guardia Civil initiated the investigation in December 2024, when a minor reported the creation of an account in her name on a prominent social network. The account was used to publish a video that was created using Artificial Intelligence.

The same account also contained photographs of numerous individuals, all of whom were juveniles. These photographs were altered from the originals, which had been altered to make the individuals appear entirely naked.

Additionally, this minor disclosed the establishment of a second account on an additional social media platform under her name, as well as other accounts that advertised nude videos produced with artificial intelligence and a website that promoted these images. The objective was to resell this type of content online.

The initial complaint prompted the filing of 15 additional juvenile complaints.

The officers subsequently interrogated the minors, who all harboured suspicions that the perpetrator was a schoolmate.

Two social media platforms, created in the name of one of the complainants, provided investigators with user data and account access. These platforms host a variety of derogatory messages and videos. They analysed numerous accounts on these platforms.

They then monitored and investigated the website that advertised AI-powered image modification services and hosted the initial video.

The agents obtained subscriber and access data for these platforms, including IP addresses, which belonged to the residence of one of the complainants’ high school classmates.

Additionally, it was verified that the email addresses used to establish these accounts belonged to the same individuals.
