The maritime patrol was required to rescue three young individuals from the sea after a malfunction occurred on the rented boat they were sailing on.
The officers observed the young men appealing for assistance and, upon approaching, discovered that they were experiencing nausea and seasickness as a result of being stranded for three hours. Their rescue was expedited and they were promptly transported to land. The company that possessed the boat was able to repair the damage by having it towed by Maritime Rescue.
Undoubtedly, a day of leisure that culminated in a fright is a cause for concern. Officials advise exercising extreme caution when operating this type of vessel, particularly when it involves individuals who have never sailed independently.
