The Guardia Civil arrested the boss of a nightclub in Santa Pola on Sunday for allegedly killing someone without thinking, after a man died near the club.
On August 24th, the Guardia Civil was told about an attack at the building’s door through the 112 Emergency Coordination Room. This was the start of the investigation. When patrols from the San Pola Main Post and the municipality’s Local Police got to the scene, they saw the body of a guy lying on his back. Officers also found a number of witnesses, whose help was very important in figuring out what happened.
The Santa Pola Territorial Judicial Police Team also led the investigation and used the business’s security cameras to gather evidence. Following a fight between employees of the business and the victim, they show how the manager reportedly pushed the victim, making him fall dramatically to the ground on his back and not be able to get up afterward.
Officers arrested the business’s manager and charged him with reckless murder based on the evidence they had gathered and the fact that they found a wound on the back of the head that looked like a head injury.
The person who was being held was brought before the Elche Judicial District Duty Court today. The court ordered his release on conditional bail. There are also people investigating waiting for the results of the autopsy, which will allow the investigation to end.
