Woman shot after an argument in Santa Pola

The shooting of a 43-year-old woman in Santa Pola on Friday morning, September 12th, is being investigated by the Alicante Guardia Civil; domestic violence seems to have been ruled out in this case.

Although preliminary indications show that the victim, whose life is not in danger, was shot by another woman and that the attack took place during an altercation before 10 a.m., sources have stated that they are working to explain what transpired.

The woman was taken from Santa Pola to Elche General Hospital after receiving treatment for an open wound on her arm via ambulance, according to the Generalitat’s Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU).
