The Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium rescued a 28-year-old man who was left dangling over the sea while climbing in the Serra de Toix mountain range in Calpe, Alicante, when his ropes became tangled.
The operation, which the Consortium reported yesterday Wednesday, September 24th was carried out on Tuesday after getting word of the incident around 12:05 p.m.
The climber, who was on the Erikindia route, was unable to ascend or descend, thus the Mountain Rescue Group (GER) and the Alpha 01 rescue helicopter were dispatched for his rescue.
The operation finished around 2:11 p.m., and according to the same source, the man was not hurt.
