Two men, aged 38 and 25, have been arrested by the Guardia Civil for allegedly being involved in a knife incident on September 15th in Almoradí, when a man was stabbed on a public roadway. The man, who had sustained critical injuries, was transported to the hospital. Fortunately, after several days in the hospital, he was able to go home. The inquiry indicates a settling of scores between the assailant, who has a lengthy criminal record, and the victim, a 19-year-old guy who also has a criminal past.
An off-duty Guardia Civil officer apprehended the suspected offender on the Orihuela Costa, while a second suspect who provided the knife was arrested in Almoradí.
The Guardia Civil has revealed that a violent incident took place on September 15th in Almoradí’s town centre. A 38-year-old man repeatedly stabbed another man, startling bystanders due to the brutality employed on a public roadway. Following the attack, the alleged culprit escaped, and the Guardia Civil launched an inquiry into the stabbing.
On September 23nd, an off-duty officer at the Almoradí Post recognised a suspect on the Orihuela Costa and took decisive action. He apprehended the guy and detained him until a police car came.
Second involved
After the original arrest, investigators from the Almoradí Investigation Area identified a 25-year-old male who allegedly provided the knife used in the attack.
The two arrested males, who have lengthy criminal records, were taken before the Orihuela Court of First Instance No. 3, which serves as the duty court, and remanded in detention.
After several days in the hospital and once out of danger, the sufferer was discharged and returned home to recover.
