The Board of Directors of the municipal business Pimesa has agreed to give Avante Construcción, Infraestructuras y Servicios €6.2 million, not including VAT, to build a 76-unit affordable rental block in 20 months. This number is 7% less than the standard tender budget.
Mayor Pablo Ruz has said that this building will be built in the Travalón neighbourhood on Maestro Ángel Llorca Street. It will have 76 affordable rental flats, two commercial spaces, and 75 parking spots on a 6,287 square meter building plot.
The units in the building will be between 82 and 46 square meters in size. It will have 12 three-bedroom apartments, 54 two-bedroom apartments, and 10 one-bedroom apartments, to be exact.
The EU’s Next Generation funds are paying for it, but the mayor said that “the bilateral agreement allows for deadlines to be exceeded in order to meet the plan’s objectives.”
Ruz said that PIMESA would decide who can rent the apartments once the project is almost done. He also said that there will be a maximum age limit and that the homes will be aimed at young people.
The mayor said that the price set in the specs is 6.23 euros for every square metre.
