87-year-old wheelchair user hit by car in Alicante

Municipal sources say that an 87-year-old woman in an electric wheelchair was hit at a pedestrian crossing in the San Blas neighbourhood of Alicante and suffered minor injuries.

The incident occurred late Tuesday morning, October 7th, at a crossing at the intersection of Calle Cardenal Belluga and Pintor Gisbert.

The Alicante Local Police are looking into why the woman, who was in a wheelchair, was hit at a pedestrian crossing and hurt. She had minor injuries.

The victim was left on the road, and numerous others helped her until an ambulance arrived. The paramedics treated her and then took her to the hospital.
