The Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium put out a fire that started early in the morning in a residential structure in Benidorm. This forced the evacuation of 25 persons as a precaution.
The call came in about 4:15 a.m. on Saturday October 11th, from Calle San Ramón in the city.
The Consortium said that the fire started in the building’s electrical panel. The fire created a lot of smoke, which forced many to leave their homes.
Evacuation
As a safety measure, 25 individuals were taken out of the building.
Medical Care
One individual had to be treated on-site by medical staff because they had inhaled smoke, although the situation was not life-threatening.
Around 5:45 a.m., firefighters were able to put out the fire and finish their work soon after. Five firefighters, a sergeant, and a fire department vehicle made up a heavy-duty urban fire department. The 25 people who lived there were able to go back home after the fire was put out and the building was aired out.
