Fire in a commercial premises at Cabo Roig

Firefighters put out a fire that started early today, Tuesday October 21st, in the electrical panel of a business building on Calle República Dominicana on the Orihuela Costa.

The fire started in the switchboard when the lights went off. The call came in at 8:28 a.m., and the operation was over two hours later, at 10:23 a.m. There were no injuries or damage to property reported.

The smoke has spread throughout the building, so firefighters from the Torrevieja Fire Station have had to do smoke ventilation work in several rooms in addition to putting out the fire.
