The Guardia Civil dismantled a marijuana farm in Los Montesinos and detained a 55-year-old male and a 45-year-old woman for allegedly being involved in a crime against public health, as well as disobedience and falsifying documents.
The San Miguel de Salinas Guardia Civil is still working to stop drug trafficking and growing drugs. Officers found indicators of an indoor cultivation facility in a home in the municipality during an examination on August 26th. This led to the inquiry.
13 kilogrammes of marijuana and other narcotics were taken
After getting enough evidence, investigators investigated the premises on September 11th and uncovered an indoor facility with 25 flowering cannabis plants, 13.2 kilos of marijuana ready to be sold, 200 grammes of MDMA (crystal), and minor amounts of cocaine.
The police also took 8,090 euros in cash, a gun that could explode, multiple mobile phones, computer equipment, farming tools, and four cars, some of which were high-end. The Local Police in Los Montesinos helped with the operation.
The primary individual responsible goes to prison
During the hunt, the primary suspect was found and apprehended at home. Days later, the second suspect was also captured. Torrevieja’s First Court of Instruction heard both cases and ordered the guy to stay in jail until his trial and the woman to be freed on bond.
