In the northern section of El Campello on November 6th, a Local Police patrol turned over a person who seemed suspicious to the Guardia Civil. He had two slabs of hashish (232 grammes total), €1,660 in cash, and two mobile phones with him. A Guardia Civil patrol took all of this, along with the inmate, to their station.
At 1:00 a.m. on Thursday November 6th, a Local Police patrol saw a car parked on the side of the road in Calle Altea. When the driver saw the police, he started to back up and then sped away to avoid being caught.
The flashing lights of the patrol car told him to stop, but he sped up instead. So the pursuit began. The driver who was being chased did unsafe things to avoid the police, such driving the wrong way along one-way streets at fast speeds.
When both cars drove to Calle Beneixama, the man stepped out of the car and ran away, refusing commands to halt. The cops witnessed him throw two things over the fence from the road into a private garden while they were chasing him.
After he was caught and subdued, the police searched the garden and recovered two slabs of hashish that weighed 232 grains. They also found cash and two mobile phones in the bag he was carrying. The Guardia Civil arrested him.
