The National Police have detained six men in the town of Denia for drug trafficking and being part of a criminal group. The individuals are between the ages of 20 and 40. The inquiry showed that an organisation that seemed like it was legally formed and not for profit was selling drugs.
Beginning of the investigation and first signs
The Judicial Police Brigade of Denia started the inquiry after finding a business that looked respectable but was reportedly handing out marijuana and hashish to anyone who asked. Officers saw a lot of people coming in and out of the building quickly, and many of them were later seen carrying drugs.
Search and police action
The research found out who owned the property and determined that no company activity was registered there. It was noticed that the business was open at different times on different days, and sometimes the shutter was only partially open.
After getting permission from the court, cops arrested six individuals and searched the building. They found 532 grammes of marijuana and 16 grammes of hashish inside, along with containers with samples labelled for sale, small lockers where the drugs were kept, precise scales, and bags and containers used for storage and distribution.
The case was sent to the Duty Magistrate’s Court of Denia, which is still working on it.
Control and duty in private homes and groups
The National Police wants to remind everyone that any group or organisation that does anything must follow the rules. Using these kinds of buildings to hide drug sales is a crime against public health.
People are urged to report any suspected drug trafficking activity they see to the police without giving their name. To keep these drug-selling locations from spreading and keep people safe, everyone need to work together.
