According to the Provincial Fire Consortium, a man had to be rescued on Friday afternoon after having a paragliding mishap on a mountainside close to Morro de Toix in Calpe (Alicante).
Two rescuers and a paramedic arrived to help the injured man, who was hanging from his paraglider on a high hill with an open fracture of his tibia and fibula. They gave him analgesics, a tourniquet, and a splint.
According to the same sources, the man was transported to the Rock’s helipad, where medical professionals were waiting for him, after receiving first emergency medical care and being lifted onto the aircraft by crane.
