The Guardia Civil has taken two people, ages 49 and 55, into custody in the municipalities of Polinyà de Xuquer and Les Palmeres-Sueca for killing someone.
On March 11th, 2025, in the afternoon, the missing man’s ex-wife went to the Guardia Civil station in Sueca. She hadn’t heard from her ex-husband in 15 days, and neither had any of his friends or acquaintances, whom she had phoned before filing the report. They hadn’t heard from him since February 20.
During Operation SUECA 125, a number of investigation procedures were conducted, with a focus on keeping an eye on the suspects’ activities, such as their personal information and phone records. This helped detectives focus on two people who were close to the victim, which supported the idea that the victim did not leave on purpose. The inquiry looked into the likelihood that the deceased died on the night of February 20th, as well as the possibility of homicide, which has been proven by the investigation.
On December 1st, the Homicide Unit detained the two suspects, who were both Spanish citizens and 49 and 55 years old, in the towns of Polinyà de Xuquer and Les Palmeres – Sueca. They are charged with murder, theft, and fraud that happened more than once. The Guardia Civil found human remains on a piece of land that one of the suspects owned during the arrests, searches, and other investigative activities.
People are still working to make sure that the remains belong to the person who is missing.
The Homicide group in Valencia and the Territorial Team of Judicial Police in Almussafes worked together to do the investigation.
The Court of First Instance and Instruction number 4 of Sueca got the papers.
