The Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium said that a 50-year-old hiker was rescued on Wednesday afternoon, December 3rd, after being stuck at Els Resingles de la Serra de Migdia, Tormos (Alicante). He may have broken his ankle and had an open cut that was bleeding.
At 17:11, an Alpha 01 rescue helicopter and GER were sent to the scene. By 18:37, the rescue was over.
The rescue team took off in the Alfa 1 helicopter and, after finding the hurt man, flew down to give him first aid with the doctor, who put on a splint. Then, the winches lifted him up to the chopper. He was moved to a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance at the San Vicente fire station later that night, on the way back.
