Woman chases thief in Elche on her e-scooter enabling his arrest

The Elche Local Police have arrested a man who they think was the one who violently robbed an old man on Calle Diagonal.

The operation worked because the police acted quickly and a young woman who saw what happened helped out. This young woman helped the police find the suspect.

The police kept in touch with the witness via phone. The woman witnessed the events happen and helped the victim and then watched the suspect run away. The witness chose to follow him on her scooter, which made it easier for the police to catch him.

When the patrol got there, the culprit tried to get away, fought hard against being arrested, and was finally subdued without any major harm.

Before being turned over to the police, the detainee was escorted to the health centre for a medical checkup.
