According to a business statement, Vueling, an airline that is part of the IAG group, will improve connections from Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport next summer and start flying to Constantine (Algeria) and Tangier (Morocco).
Starting on March 26th, there will be two flights per week to Constantine, on Tuesdays and Sundays. In July and August, there will be three flights per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The new service to Tangier, which starts on May 2nd, will have two flights a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
This new addition gives you a direct and easy way to get to one of the most exciting places in northern Morocco. The Alicante-Santander route has also been extended and will be open all summer. This is in addition to the additional routes. There will be three flights a week on this route, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Vueling is making its connections from Alicante stronger by adding another plane this winter.
Jordi Pla, Vueling’s Network and Strategy Director, says, “These new routes show how committed we are to connecting Spain to both domestic and international destinations.” We are also improving our connections to North Africa, which is an important route for Vueling. We are adding new destinations and making current ones stronger.
Making connections stronger across the country
Vueling will add 13 new flights and 6 strategic extensions from different airports in Spain to its summer schedule in 2026. This will make the airline more visible both in Spain and around the world. Barcelona will add two new destinations: Fez and Nador in Morocco. It will also expand the routes that started this winter to Agadir in Morocco, Ljubljana in Slovenia, Strasbourg in France, and Valladolid. Vueling will also improve its connections from Santiago by adding an extra plane next summer. It will also start flying to Marrakech (Morocco) and two local flights to Jerez and Ibiza.
Also, the link between Santiago and Zurich (Switzerland) will remain open all summer. Bilbao, Vueling’s main base in Spain after Barcelona, will also add new flights to Edinburgh (Scotland) and Split (Croatia). Next summer, Palma de Mallorca will also have international flights to Brussels (Belgium) and Zurich. There will also be flights from Seville to London-Heathrow and from Santander to Paris-Orly.
