The Generalitat, through the Valencian Housing and Land Entity (EVHA), has begun the process of allocating eight public dwellings on Calle Cervantes in Callosa de Segura via an inexpensive rental plan.
These residences are meant for the following groups: cohabitation units consisting solely of young people under the age of 35; large and single-parent families; cohabitation units containing victims of violence against women; and adults over the age of 60.
Estefanía Martínez, general director of EVHA, stated that this allocation aligns with the Valencian Government’s aim of promoting inexpensive public rental housing for populations facing barriers to adequate housing access.
EVHA, an institution under the First Vice Presidency and the Ministry of Housing, Employment, Youth, and Equality, will start the allocation this week.
To be considered for these properties, applicants must have a sufficient minimum income to ensure that the cost of paying rent (without any subsidies), plus community fees, for the chosen property and its connected parts does not exceed 25% of their income. This revenue must come from work or social security benefits.
To be eligible for one of these homes, you must first be registered as an applicant in the Valencian Community’s Housing Registry.
Callosa de Segura offers three- and four-bedroom flats, each with a storage space. The approximate monthly rent ranges from €297 to €506, depending on the size of the flat. Community costs are extra.
