41 Local Police Offices Appointed

Last Friday, January 31, 41 Local Police Officers completed the 61st Basic Training Course at the Valencian Institute of Public Security and Emergencies (IVASPE), according to Torrevieja City Councillor Federico Alarcón.

This is the second phase of opposition against Torrevieja council consolidation and stability. It takes 700 hours and should end in June, after which the cops will train with the Torrevieja Local Police for two months.

Ms. Irene Rodríguez, Autonomous Secretary for Security and Emergencies, and Mr. Sol Durá Ramos, Director of IVASPE, attended the course opening ceremony. Representatives from Torrevieja’s Local Police included Superintendent Óscar Cartón, Inspectors Jacobo Rodríguez, and José Manuel Mora.
