This weekend, the Department of Festivals and the Cultural Festive Association of Moors and Christians are hosting a celebration that, depending on your point of view, either signifies that half a year has gone by since the 2024 celebrations or that another half year remains till the 25th.
Therefore, on Saturday and Sunday, March 1st and 2nd, the customary events that will unite the Christian and Moorish communities will take place.
Reiterating last year’s successful idea, a song to music and joy, the gathering of music bands will start in the Glorieta square at 5:00 pm on Saturday.
At 6:00 p.m., the Mig Any parade is expected to start, travel through the town’s main streets, and finish at the Glorieta.
The presentation of the Cultural Festive Association of Moors and Christians’ 2025 positions will be held in the side tent adjacent to the Fortress Castle at 9:00 p.m.
The children’s procession including the youngest members of both sides is planned for Sunday at 12:30. The traditional cabasset dinner for the various groups will conclude at 14:00.
