A 37-year-old man who the National Police believe is the most active criminal in Alicante was sentenced to prison this week. The National Police detained him after he committed a series of robberies in city centre establishments. Business owners, particularly those in the hospitality business, were concerned about the insecurity caused by this thief and another previously imprisoned criminal.
The inmate, who has 80 arrests on his criminal record, was imprisoned for repeat offences. The Judicial Police Group of the Alicante Central District Police Station undertook an investigation, which revealed that this offender was arrested ten times between mid-April and May 17th.
In less than a month, he allegedly committed 12 burglaries, ten of which were in businesses, one in a home, and one in a car. Last week, under police pressure, he chose to relocate to Elche to perpetrate new crimes, and the National Police apprehended him again. He was released on bail after appearing before a court in Elche, according to individuals familiar with the investigation.
However, he was detained for two robberies in Alicante hospitality businesses, and the National Police presented him before the Alicante capital’s duty court on Monday, accompanied by a complete report describing this individual’s repeated offences, a heroin addict who has made theft his lifestyle. On this occasion, the court ordered him to be imprisoned at prosecutor’s office, providing peace of mind for merchants in the city centre in the city centre.
The two most recent robberies in Alicante occurred in the early hours of May 13th. Early in the morning, the National Police responded to a heist at an ExpOfficers confirmed that a forced entry into the establishment led to the theft of money from the cash register. the establishment.
Police investigation
The police uncovered receipts from a nearby pub and a bank card at the scene, so they proceeded to investigate and discovered that the bar had also been broken into. Following the crimes, the National Police analysed recordings from raided stores and other establishments and swiftly identified two suspects.
One of them was soon apprehended, but the other, whom the police believed to be the most active thief in Alicante, was initially unable to be apprehended.
This thief went to Elche to perpetrate a crime, but was detected and apprehended by police. Of the 80 arrests on his record, thirty were for burglary.
Their strategy for looting businesses is anything but smart. They smash windows and business windows with bollards grabbed from the street, a fence, or any other blunt object, stealing cash, tools, or commodities to swiftly sell on the black market.
Many of the thief’s victims filed police files, revealing that the robberies caused more harm than the loot collected.
