Benidorm City Council’s Department of Events has planned a dozen concerts, festivals, and stand-up comedy acts for the summer. These events will be supplemented by other cultural and celebratory activities, rounding out the city’s leisure offers from June to October. Jesús Carrobles, Councillor for Events, remarked that “these activities are very varied and aimed at audiences of all ages,” allowing for “an expansive range of people to enjoy them, both residents of our city and other nearby towns, as well as tourists and visitors.”
Carrobles announced that the programme will begin on June 7th with the “Tribute to the Route,” which will be held in the Julio Iglesias Auditorium at L’Aigüera Park. “In this case, this is an event organised by the Patron Saint Festivities Commission, so it will also serve to collaborate in the organisation of our Major Festivals in October,” according to the councillor.
The following activities will take place at the Julio Iglesias on June 13th and 14th, including David Cepo’s monologue “Don’t Cross Your Arms” and Luli Pampin’s children’s performance “The Musical Book”.
The first of two big festivals planned for this summer, the Reggaeton Beach Festival, will take place on July 5th and 6th at Guillermo Amor Sports City. The programme already includes Eladio Carrión, El Alfa, Chencho Corleone, Omar Courtz, Luar La L, and Noriel.
On July 18th, comic Martita de Graná will perform her monologue “Martita sea!” at the Julio Iglesias, the same venue that will hold the performance “Misión Impro-sible” by stand-up comedians Aguilera and Menà the following day, July 19th.
The activities will return to Guillermo Amor Sports City from July 25th to 27th, when the now-iconic Low Festival will take place, bringing to the city a lineup of over thirty artists, including national and international bands such as Pet Shop Boys, Emire of the Sun, The Kooks, Viva Suecia, Lori Meyers, Sexy Cebras, and Carolina Durante.
On August 16th, the Julio Iglesias Auditorium will host the comeback concert of the Andalusian group Los Caños. In September, the same venue will host the main events for the 15th anniversary of Benidorm Pride 2025, which this year takes place from September 1st-7th.
The first edition of the Indiverso DJ Festival will take place on September 20th, also at Julio Iglesias, and will feature Woody, drummer for the London band Bastille, as a DJ set; Juanca and Pope from Supersubmarin as Supersub DJs; and a session by Ley DJ J.
Finally, on October 10th and 11th, the Iberia Festival will conclude its programmes with performances by Coque Malla, Santero y los Muchachos, La Frontera, Ilegales, and Burning, among others, at the Julio Iglesias Auditorium.
