Another shooting along the Costa del Sol. This time, a guns incident occurred in Fuengirola, Malaga, last night, Saturday May 31st.
The event happened around 11:30 p.m. at Monaghans Irish Bar on the Rey de España promenade, near the Margarita Building and just in front of a restaurant. Ross Monaghan had already been linked to the high-profile murder of one of Glasgow’s most renowned gangland leaders, Kevin ‘Gerbil’ Carroll. Carroll, a known enforcer for the Daniel crime family, was shot while sitting in a car outside a store in Robroyston, Glasgow, in 2010.
According to some witnesses, hooded individuals exited a car and fired rounds towards the terrace of a pub. After firing the bullets, they escaped. Other sources checked say that a big police operation was launched in the early hours of the morning from Las Lagunas de Mijas to the El Higuerón area to apprehend individuals guilty for the shooting. No arrests have been made thus far.
After learning of the occurrences, multiple National Police units and paramedics from the 061 (National Police Service) were called to the location, along with local police. The gunfire may have injured others besides the deceased, whose identities remain undisclosed.
