A two-year-old girl died and three other children were injured on a fairground ride in the Murcia area of AlquerÃas due to an electric shock.
At 12:01 a.m. this morning, Sunday June 15th, the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Centre received a call for assistance for a two-year-old girl who was unconscious and bleeding from her nose at a fairground in AlquerÃas. According to reports, she had received an electric shock.
The AlquerÃas Local Police confirmed the minor’s unconsciousness and requested emergency medical aid. Guardia Civil patrols also arrived to help with the treatment and inquiry.
The 061 Emergency Medical Service deployed a mobile emergency unit. An ambulance was dispatched after local police reported that three other youngsters had been injured, most likely by electric shocks. They were all conscious, and their situation seemed less dire than the unconscious girl’s.
At 1:16 a.m., UME medical personnel verified the two-year-old girl’s death following an hour of futile CPR. 061 personnel also treated a 29-year-old lady suffering from an anxiety attack, as well as an eight-year-old girl and two boys, aged 11 and 12, who were all experiencing electrocution symptoms. These three children went to the hospital without the aid of an ambulance.
