Two individuals have been arrested and brought to court in connection with the death of a two-year-old girl who was electrocuted on a fairground ride in the Murcia district of AlquerÃas last Sunday, June 15th. Three additional children were hurt as a result.
Based on the circumstances, the Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to identify the cause of the minor’s death, and the Organic Judicial Police Unit of the Guardia Civil of Murcia has identified and located two males associated with the attraction.
They have been arrested on suspicion of one case of homicide due to gross negligence and four counts of bodily harm, according to Benemérita sources.
The incident happened about 12:01 a.m. on Sunday. A call was made to the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Centre regarding a two-year-old girl who was unconscious and bleeding from her nose at a fairground in AlquerÃas. According to reports, she had received an electric shock.
At 1:16 a.m., UME medical personnel verified the girl’s death following an hour of failed CPR. 061 personnel also treated a 29-year-old lady suffering from an anxiety attack, as well as an eight-year-old girl and two boys, aged 11 and 12, who were all experiencing electrocution symptoms. These three children got to the hospital without the help of an ambulance.
