Following a traffic stop, National Police officers arrested a 37-year-old motorcyclist accused of drug trafficking.
During a search of his residence, authorities recovered more than 370 grams of cocaine, more than 250 grams of MDMA tablets, 260 grams of cutting agents, ten containers of inhalant liquids, and more than €4,500 in cash, according to a police statement.
The operation began when officials recognised the rider at a traffic stop. During the check, they discovered 46 zip-lock bags containing a white powdery material and one bag carrying ten pink ecstasy pills. The bag featured the lyrics to a television series on one side and a mask logo on the other. A little amount of cash and an analogue cell phone were also confiscated.
In addition to the drugs and money, officers discovered a roll of green wire behind the motorcycle seat, which is typically used to seal bags containing narcotics. The Local Judicial Police Brigade took over the investigation and searched the alleged perpetrator’s residence.
The defendant, who had no past criminal record when arrested, is being probed for allegedly committing a crime against public health. He was taken before Benidorm’s Court of First Instance.
