The Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency seized the shipment of phosphoric acid from an Israeli ship that docked at the Port of Cartagena on Sunday, September 14th, at noon. Initial indications are that it is material for producing fertilisers, which is the most likely hypothesis being considered so far.
Government Delegate Francisco Lucas has stated that, according to the information available to him, the cargo on the ship “is not subject” to a possible embargo, although Customs “has proceeded to immobilise it and analyse the cargo for greater peace of mind and rigour for all citizens.”
Therefore, he stated, “When we have the results of that analysis, we will proceed to transfer the information.”
Asked about the riots in Madrid during the Vuelta Ciclista, he asked that “we not lose perspective, since Israel has murdered more than 60,000 people.”
“Children and women die every day. Therefore, Lucas expressed his belief that the time has come to put an end to this genocide. He expressed his satisfaction that Spain is leading the institutional and social response.
