Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is expected to visit the Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández International Airport tomorrow, Thursday September 18th, where he will announce multimillion-dollar enhancements for the facility in the next years.
The president, accompanied by Óscar Puente, Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, will likely reveal details of the already announced expansion of Alicante airport, sources acquainted with the visit have told EFE.
The Airport Regulation Document (DORA) III for the 2027-31 five-year period includes investments in the Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández airport, which is the country’s fifth-largest in terms of passengers, trailing only Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, and Málaga.
