In the third occurrence, the criminal stole a moped from a home in Elche and was located and caught after a police investigation in another neighbourhood of Alicante where he lived, according to a Police Headquarters statement.
The first occurrence occurred on September 19th, when the National Police received a call stating that two individuals had forced open the door to a ground-floor flat and gained entry.
As a result, a cordon was erected with multiple National Police signals, allowing the alleged culprits to be apprehended as they attempted to leave. Officers apprehended two guys, ages 34 and 27, and stopped them from stealing stuff.
The following occurrence happened on September 20th. A National Police officer in an unmarked car noticed a man perched atop a neon sign on the first floor. The guy was passing a television to another individual on the sidewalk.
Officers came quickly and discovered the two males were removing the gadget from within a residence. The two males, aged 19 and 50, were arrested, and the recovered television was returned to its proper owner.
The third instance had the perpetrator committing the crime, therefore the Elche Police Station’s Judicial Police took responsibility of the inquiry.
The suspect entered a single-family home in Elche’s rural Santa Ana neighbourhood and stole a moped from a shed belonging to the house that also served as a garage. Following a police investigation, the authorities in charge of the case identified the culprit as a 33-year-old man who was arrested on September 25th in El Rebolledo, Alicante, where he lived.
The five arrestees have been charged with burglary. All three have been taken before the Elche Investigative Court.
