According to the Guardia Civil, they have arrested a 49-year-old male for domestic violence. He is accused of hitting his spouse, a 48-year-old lady who is still in the hospital because of her injuries.
According to the same sources, the incident happened on Sunday, October 19th, in the municipality of Cullera in Valencia. There are no previous reports in the system or any cases filed in the Comprehensive Monitoring System for Cases of Gender Violence (VioGén).
Police sources say that the woman is in a coma in the hospital after being “brutally beaten” in an apartment in Cullera. Two days before, she went to a pub with bruises on her face to ask for help. However, the emergency call was cancelled once her partner confirmed that nothing had happened and she backed him up.
