Car burns next to a wooden restaurant on the Orihuela Costa

Today, Saturday October 25th, a car caught fire on Calle Azafrán on the Orihuela Costa, outside the Banana Tree II wooden restaurant. People who were there were worried that the fire might spread to the restaurant.

The call came in at 1:22 p.m., and firefighters from the Torrevieja Fire Park Provincial Consortium were sent to the location. They were joined by a Chief Command Unit and a Heavy Urban Fire Brigade, which had five people on it. The call finished at 5:00 p.m. after several hours of work.

Firefighters said that no one was hurt, but the car was badly damaged.
