A car and a truck crashed on the A-31 highway in Elda yesterday, Monday October 27th, injuring four women.
An Emergency Medical Assistance Service (SAMU) unit and two Basic Life Support (BLS) units were sent to the accident site to help the people in the car, all of whom were hurt to some degree.
Health sources said that two of the women, who were 45 and 57 years old, had whiplash, and the other two, who were 38 and 61 years old, had bruising. After being stabilised at the site, all four were transferred to Elda General Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
While emergency services were on the scene, the accident caused traffic backups on the highway. However, traffic returned to normal once the vehicles involved were evacuated and the route was cleared.
