A 30-year-old Lithuanian man who was wanted by Lithuanian authorities for a violent robbery was found and arrested at Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport just as he was going to meet up with family members who were arriving on a flight from his homeland.
He was wanted for crimes that happened in Lithuania in 2017. According to a statement from the National Police, the fugitive and others perpetrated a violent robbery in which he “caused serious harm to the victim’s health” and stole two mobile phones, one of which was worth more than 500 euros.

The accused has been turned over to the Central Court of Instruction of the National Court, which is responsible for making sure that he gets extradited.
