The La Nucía Town Hall has said when people can apply to buy subsidised apartments. There will be twelve townhouses for sale, and people under 35 and single-parent families who have lived in the municipality for at least two years will get first dibs. The application period starts today, Friday November 14th, and lasts for 20 working days. It was published yesterday, Thursday, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP).
The publication says that applications must be sent to the Mayor’s Office of the City Council, either in person at the City Hall’s general registry or online at https://lanucia.sedelectronica.es/ through the process called “LN-00069 – CONTRACTING. Competition for the allocation of housing for young people.”
The procedure will be swift because all proposals will be opened the day after the deadline for bids. The apartment complex is at number 8 Carrer Serra Grossa in the La Colina Urbanisation. The properties start at prices between €166,934.25 and €222,430.50. Prices change based on the property’s attributes, such as how many bedrooms it has (two or three). The buyer will have to pay 10% VAT on the total purchase price. This payment must be made before the public deed of sale is signed.

As we said before, the tender specifications for giving out these properties are meant for those under 35 and single-parent households. People who want to apply must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application and this must be their first house. They can also be single parents or have elderly dependents. Additionally, the property must be the beneficiary’s main and permanent home for ten years after they buy it, and they must have been registered as inhabitants of La Nucía for at least the last two years.
The allocation criterion will look at the household’s income to see how much money they can afford, with a maximum of 40 points. Length of residence on the Municipal Register will also be taken into account, with a maximum of 30 points given. “Special vulnerability” conditions will also be taken into account. If there is a tie between two or more bids, the application that was sent in first will be given priority. People that are chosen will have two months from the time they are told to pay for the property.
