In the Valencian town of Gandia, National Police officers shut down a private cannabis club where narcotics were being offered to consumers for use outside the premises. They took approximately 300 grammes of marijuana, more than 100 grammes of hashish, 16 joints, almost 50 grammes of prepared stuff, €1,205 in cash, and two precision scales. Four people, three men and one woman, all between the ages of 27 and 40, were arrested on suspicion of committing offences against public health.
Agents from the Local Brigade of Judicial Police of Gandia (Valencia) started looking into the situation after noticing a steady stream of people who said they were buying drugs and a lot of noise in the areas around a private cannabis smoking club. This was because of the club’s opening hours.
The investigators’ questions confirmed that these events happened, so they and the Gandia Local Police and the club manager went to the club and searched it. They found almost 300 grammes of marijuana, more than 100 grammes of hashish, 16 joint-type cigarettes, almost 50 grammes of prepared substance, 1205 euros in cash, and two precision scales.
The police also took four persons into custody—three men and one woman—on suspicion of committing a felony against public health. The detainees, three of whom had previous police records, were let go after providing testimonies and were told they had to show up in court when called.
