Benidorm will host around 6,000 dart players this November as the town stages the 2025 National Darts Championship. The event will run from 27 to 29 November at the Palau d’Esports L’Illa de Benidorm, organised by GR Doblebull in collaboration with the local Sports Department.
The championship begins on Thursday at 6.00 pm with the individual Cricket category. Friday’s programme features the Open Triples and the Pairs Cricket tournaments. The event will conclude on Saturday with the National Teams Championship, followed by the prize-giving ceremony at approximately 10.30 pm.
The Councillor for Sports, Javier Jordá, highlighted the importance of the tournament, noting that it also offers players the chance to qualify to represent Spain at the next European Championship. This makes the Benidorm competition a key fixture for the country’s leading players.
The organisers expect more than 20,000 visitors over the three days, thanks to the large number of participants, overnight stays, and the fact that the competition takes place outside the main tourist season. The economic benefit for the town is anticipated to be substantial.
Jordá added that competitors themselves are keen for the championship to be held in Benidorm, praising the town’s mild climate in November, its excellent hotel facilities, and its wide choice of leisure activities, which are difficult to match at this time of year.
