The National Police said yesterday, Thursday December 11th, that three males, ages 20, 40, and 43, had been arrested for taking down an indoor marijuana plantation with 881 plants spread out over multiple rooms of a residence in Denia.
The inquiry started when they learnt that there might be a “indoor” marijuana crop in a house in a neighbourhood of Denia. After watching the residence and doing further research, they found the place in question.
Inside, there were 881 plants spread out over multiple rooms, as well as a high-tech hydroponic system with transformers, air conditioning units, extraction systems, and fluorescent lighting. Officers also took an air gun and cash.
In turn, steps were taken to check if the investigated dwelling had electrical leaks or was connected illegally. It was confirmed that there was an illegal connection to the electrical grid, so the three detainees are being charged with drug trafficking and electricity fraud.
