After contacting the 112 emergency services six times and not getting an answer, a woman has filed a complaint online. The complaint says that on December 6th, she required aid right away and called the number to ask for it. She also said that someone was attacking her and kept saying, “I’m going to kill you.”
The woman says, “between blows, running, and trying to escape,” that she had to contact 112 up to six times before they answered. “When they finally picked up the phone and I told the person who answered what was going on, they asked, ‘But what do you need, the police or an ambulance?'”
Police or ambulance
She said that she had to phone six times to get help and that the person who answered her call was unprofessional since they expected her to tell them what she needed even though they knew she was being attacked. She then said that she got help between 1:31 p.m. and 1:36 p.m., when she eventually got through.
The individual, who resides in Elche and made the calls, said, “They told me they would send my complaint to the right person.”
Outrageous
“As a citizen, I find it shocking and alarming that these things happen. I don’t think this is just one case; I think it’s happening more often than it should, and people need to know about it so they know what to expect in an emergency.
When the Ministry of Emergencies was asked about this allegation, they said, “We never give out information about specific cases because 112 calls are always anonymous.”
