The Guardia Civil has identified the human remains found inside an oil tank at a warehouse in Librilla (Murcia) in May using DNA profiling and established that they belong to the two people who went missing in December.
They are two men from Cameroon and the Ivory Coast, ages 37 and 53, who went missing in December 2024.
Officers from Murcia’s Organic Judicial Police Unit carried out the identification as part of Operation CAMELIBRI, according to Civil Guard sources in a statement.
It’s worth noting that the Guardia Civil completed a “complex task” to recover two bodies that eventually matched those who went missing in Librilla.
The victims were discovered in an underground oil waste tank inside a warehouse in the municipality and were removed on Friday, May 9th, following a search that began on that Monday.
It should be remembered that the Organic Judicial Police Unit of the Guardia Civil of Murcia apprehended three people allegedly involved in the disappearances of two men in Librilla. These arrests were made as part of an investigation that began in December.
