National Police officials on the Costa del Sol are probing the deaths of two people in a flat in Fuengirola. The woman was allegedly slain by hammer strikes to the head, while the man died from stab wounds. Although the initial theory indicates a domestic violence incident and the suspected perpetrator’s suicide, the investigations are still in their early stages.
In the absence of official identification and following initial investigations, the bodies are believed to be those of a 43-year-old Colombian woman and her companion, a 46-year-old American male, according to several sources.
Apparently, a friend of the woman found deceased went to the National Police Station in Torremolinos on Wednesday, June 18th, after she had missed many days of routine training sessions. As a result, National Police officers went to a flat in the Higuerón West neighbourhood, where the woman had recently resided.
When the police arrived at the home, they discovered the woman’s lifeless body in the house, with evident evidence of violence, as well as that of a male, believed to be her partner, who appeared to have taken his life with a knife.
Forensic experts are still on-site, and the bodies have been sent to Malaga for autopsies to clarify the situation.
